I remember the day clearly, about ten years ago...
We were discussing Eric's plan to study nursing and I could feel he was pulling back. We had spent the past year deep in the study of God's Word and what it said on various matters, especially being first-time parents! :) He stopped and looked deep in thought as I waited in the silence for his answer.
He said, "I just cannot think of anything better to study than the Lord." It was at that moment our thoughts of seminary as a family began.
As the years have passed the desire has never left our family. We are grateful to now have the opportunity for Eric to study for the pastorate. As he said just yesterday...
"There is no greater calling to pursue I can think of than to be a pastor. I can see nothing better, more fulfilling, than to be a pastor, if the Lord would fit me for it."
We are ever thankful for the loving support and blessing of our parents and encouragement from our friends.
